Congregational announcements for the week of Feb. 12th – Feb. 19th.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Below are our congregational announcements for the week of Feb. 12th – Feb. 19th.

On-line Worship for FEBRUARY

As announced above, our Sunday services for the Sundays of Feb. 13, 20, & 27 will be held each Sunday morning @ 11:00 a.m. on ZOOM. Following the service, people are invited to remain online for a time of fellowship together.

(***Please note: For those unable to join us each Sunday morning on ZOOM, a pre-recorded worship service will be posted to both our regular Church website, as well as our Facebook page, in time for each Sunday morning @ 11:00 a.m.)

It is the prayer of our Session that restrictions will ease in time for us to return to in-person worship services beginning March 6 (which will mark the start of the Lenten Season in the church).

To JOIN us each of these SUNDAY MORNINGS  at 11:00 .a.m. for BOTH WORSHIP & FELLOWSHIP please email the church:

Communion Service

Our next service of Holy Communion will be held on Sun. Feb. 20 during our 11:00 a.m. worship service on ZOOM. Those planning to join online for worship that morning are invited to prepare their own elements and to have them ready for use when the time comes. (***Please note: our pre-recorded service will also feature a Communion liturgy)

Annual Congregation Meeting POSTPONED:

Our Annual Congregational Meeting was previously scheduled for the evening of Sat. Feb. 12. However, in the hopes of the province’s COVID-related restrictions being soon eased enough to allow for an in-person Congregational Meeting, the Session has decided to postpone the Congregational Meeting until Sat. Mar. 5 @ 6:30 p.m. Please watch for further details!

Bible Study Set to Return!

It’s been a while, but Bible Study is set to return. The plan is to offer 2 request-based studies this winter/spring. The first will be a 6-part series on the Old Testament Book of Daniel. Our plan is to begin this study in either late February or early March in the hopes COVID-related restrictions may have loosened enough by then to allow an in-person afternoon group, followed by an evening online session. This study will provide an opportunity for us to explore the life of faith as a counter-cultural element amidst ongoing pressure to conform to the world around us! How do we live our faith in a world where it’s not always popular…or welcome? This study will also serve as background to help ready us for a 6-part post-Easter study on the Book of Revelation. Please watch for more details!

Knitters Needed!

The Mission and Outreach Team is looking for knitters to knit hats and mittens for the Nova Scotia Native Council. Any questions or to make arrangements to drop them off at the church please contact Chelsey Joudrie.
